This is 'Fox Moon' with the number '9 of 9' from a limited edition of linocuts.
I created ‘Fox Moon’ in the context of the 2nd lunar eclipse of 2020. It is a celebration of foxes, their wild untameable nature and ability to adapt to different environments, regardless of whether people like them or not.
There are a number of urban foxes in the area where I live. I always find it special spotting one. Despite them being urban creatures, there is a wildness to them, they are of the wild.
I love the way they move, ducking low, running along; making eye contact and holding my gaze for a few breaths, moving on, checking in again, and finally disappearing.
